4th INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF ARMAMENTS AND DEFENSE EQUIPMENT
„PARTNER 2009“
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, organized by the Belgrade Fair and co-organized by Yugoimport FDSP, the 4th International Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment „PARTNER 2009“ is going to be held in Belgrade in the period of June 2 to 5, 2009.
On 4500 m2 of exhibiting space in hall 3 and on the outdoor space of the Belgrade Fair, 74 manufacturing and trading companies will present themselves classified in 39 groups of products (as in the attachment).
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia has ensured appearance of the institutions of the defense system: the Military Technical Institute, Technical Test Center of the Armed Forces of Serbia, Air Force Depot „Moma Stanojlovic“, Technical Overhaul Depot Kragujevac, Technical Overhaul Depot Cacak, Military Geographical Institute, Military Academy, Military Medical Academy, Military Publishing Institute, Press Center „Odbrana/Defense“, Military Film Center „Zastava Film“, Military Museum and, for the first time, of the Museum of the Yugoslav Air Force and the Accreditation Body of Serbia.
The integrator of the Serbian defense industry, Yugoimport FDSP, organized appearance of 18 participants at „PARTNER 2009“. Fist of all, participation of 6 leading factories of the Serbian defense industry: „Zastava oruzje/Firearms“, „Prva Iskra“, „Prvi Partizan“, „Sloboda“, „Milan Blagojevic“, and “Krusik“.
A special characteristic of this year’s event is an increased interest for participation by foreign partners both at the exhibition, and in the announced official delegations and as business visitors.
Foreign exhibitors at „PARTNER 2009“ are coming from: Poland, France, Sweden, Israel, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Austria, the USA, the Republic of Srpska, and Slovenia.
Among the foreign participants, it is important to stress the presence of the following companies: Thales from France, Bumar from Poland, Elbit and ECI from Israel.
The novelty in this year’s event is the appearance of „Jugohemija“ with the companies from its representation program – FN Herstal, Ballistic Protective Systems, Mehler Protective Systems, Mehler Law Enforcement, Intracom SA Defense Electronic Systems, Fireexpress EPE, and Interspiro.
The first day of the supporting program of the Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment „PARTNER“, June 2, is reserved for the presentation of the main topics of the Ministry of Defense, the second day (June 3) for the presentation of the domestic manufacturers of armaments and defense equipment, the third day (June 4) for the presentation of the program of Yugoimport FDSP, and the fourth day (June 5) for the presentation of foreign participants, specifically in accordance with the attached schedule.
Opening hours of the 4th International Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment „PARTNER 2009“:
- On June 2-4, from 10:00 to 17:00 hours exclusively for business visitors with the filled in registration forms
- On June 5, from 10:00 to 19:00 hours for business visitors with the filled in registration forms, and for general public with tickets bought.
Formal opening of the 4th International Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment „PARTNER 2009“ has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, at 11:00 hours in hall 3 of the Belgrade Fair.
