4th International Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment
„PARTNER 2009“
June 2-5, 2009

The 4th International Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment „PARTNER 2009“ was held in the period of June 2-5, this year, on over 12,000m2 of gross exhibition area, out of it on 4,500m2 in hall 3 and on more than 7,500m2 on outdoor exhibition area.
There were 74 exhibitors - 52 from Serbia and 22 from: Poland, France, Sweden, Bulgaria, Israel, Macedonia, the United States of America, Austria, Greece, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, and Germany.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia presented the institutions from its own system, particularly the development projects of the Military Technical Institute, Technical Test Center, and Overhaul Depots.
Yugoimport FDSP, as the integrator of the Serbian defense industry, pooled the appearance of 6 largest factories in the ownership of the Republic of Serbia and presented its own projects, among them certainly the most significant being „Lazar“ while „Kurjak“ had its first run.
For the first time this year, Jugohemija presented 7 foreign companies from its representation and import programs, among them being: FN Herstal, Mehler Law Enforcement, and Interspiro.
Among foreign exhibitors that appeared on their own, those that should certainly be pointed out are: Thales, Bumar, Elbit, ECI, Rohde & Schwarz, and John Deer.  
Particular importance to this year’s event was attributed by the presence of the invited foreign delegations, which were escorted by the representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia. The delegations that officially visited the event were from Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Algeria, and Montenegro. The Fair was visited by the foreign defense representatives accredited to the Republic of Serbia. Additionally, the business part of the Fair also involved a large number of organized business meetings between the representatives of the Ministry of Defense, participants, and business visitors of the 4th International Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment „PARTNER 2009“.

The accompanying professional program of the event covered a wide range of topics: from the strategic ones – „Development of defense industry and the interest of the state“ - to the expert and commercial ones.

The 4th Fair of Armaments and Defense Equipment was media covered by 104 accredited journalists from Serbia and abroad. Over 3,500 visitors were registered.
